Azure of the Seas

Emerald of the Seas

Future of the Seas

I know someone mentioned Azure already, these names would be nice because they were the names of the old Admiral Cruise Ships that Royal Caribbean once owned. Also Future Seas was the original name of the Nordic Empress when it was supposed to be part of Admiral Cruises. All are nice names. Future would be nice but looking down the road the future will turn into the past. icon_biggrin.gif

Oops, that one is already taken.

Being a Brit, when I first saw this on another thread I thought it was just a joke. Didn't realise until this thread that there's a real product called that.

On another board someone used the phrase "an icon of the seas" in another context. Then realised that it might get stolen as a name.

the naming contest is not a bad idea; NCL did that a few years okay with the Norwegian Sun

(my submission was the Norwegian Jewel -- I did not win, but now I see that maybe it was more of a Royal Caribbean name )

anyhoo, I won't put down my idea here, just in case there is a contest icon_smile.gif

When Ford came out with the Ford Excursion, the biggest passenger vehicle at the time, my dh (a Ford Senior Master Tech at the time) referred to it as the Ford Extrusion. So with this bigger ship, how about "Extrusion of the Seas?"

I also like "Whale of the Seas - for a whale of a good time!"

As large as they are why not name them after cities around the world. That way there they would have a whole lot of names they could use. Such as ' New York of the seas.' - 'London of the Seas,' etc.
