Oh I DO like "Bling Bling of the Seas"!!!! Love it! I do agree about naming them after precious stones, especially Sapphire...I just love that name for a ship. Hmmmm....Tanzanite of the Seas...LOL! Diamond, Sapphire, or Emerald, Etc sounds like a great names to me! It's got my vote!

Also--Chair Hogs of the Seas,Seat Savers of the Seas, Oh my Gosh where is the Sea........

RCCL did in fact have a naming contest a number of years ago for the "voyager of the Seas". The winner received a free cruise, and also christened the ship. I was one of the finalists for that contest, but there were 24 other people who named it Voyager of the Seas, so there was a runoff. I lost out!!!! did not even get a free T-shirst for my efforts!!! Oh well, I still enjoy RCL cruises nonetheless.

Off topic....but since the Carnival Group can have an ocean liner....why not G.T.S. Normandie II ? The central promenade on the Voyager class is just about the right size for a Lalique paneled Grande Salle a Manger.
