Maddycakes Posted June 1, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Hi, I am freshly of the LOS sailing of May 24... In fact I still have my sea legs and the room is still rocking a bit:o My top 5 favorite things were as follows: My fellow passangers... especially my cruise critic family Little Divi... It was amazing. If anyone would like more detains please just ask flow rider... I am a VERY out of shape person and I still enjoyed it highly. my DH and I payed 60$ a piece for a small group lesson with two other people. It was one hour long. We had so much time using it we left a few minutes early because we were so tired the staff... I did not come across one person who was not exceptionally friendly. I had many lovely conversations with many staff Sarrinto's...There pannia's and pizza of the day made a great bed time snack. Also FYI they were VERY strict with the rules on this cruise... Don't get me wrong I am NOT complaining...I was happy to see this. Two examples: I had to run and take my daughter up to the room to use the potty (she needs her privacy) and by the time I was back my chair was gone. Like I said I am not compaling... I much rather them to be overly strict with chair hogs than to lax. On the last night of the cruise in the diamond lounge I got kicked out of the lounge for wearing capri's... I was a little embaressed, but than again like I siad I rather them to be strict with the rules rather than lax. If you have any specific questions please ask and I will try to answer them all
pattpga Posted June 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Why were you asked to leave for wearing capris? We're on the LOS in August and I did'nt know there was a dress code in the Diamond lounge ! Is there ?
booze brothers Posted June 1, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Woooooooo ! No capries in the diamond lounge? We'll be on the Liberty in Sept. and this isn't good news. I'm hoping there's a mistake in communication somewhere.
Maddycakes Posted June 1, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted June 1, 2008 there are no shorts allowed in the diamond lounge. My black capri's just covered my knees. I was also wearing a dressey shirt. the counserige came over and told me "no short's" I was too embarrassed to argue:o
MomtoCCC Posted June 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Hi, We are going on LOS this fall and would love to hear more about Little Divi Bay. We are planning on going there with our 4yo dd. How much was the taxi? Rentals for chairs/umbrella? How were food/drink options? Did you do anything else in St Martin that day? Thanks! Glad you had a great cruise! alexkrn46 Posted June 1, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Maddycakes glad you had a good time. Although the Diamond Lounge was beautiful I enjoy the conceirge lounge more and we all went in shorts. The pizza was great we really enjoyed it too. The staff was outstanding, and it was our first time ever getting a bridge tour and it was impressive ( I miss the peak a boo bridge onboard the voyager ships). I thought this ship was very smooth, when we were on the bridge tour we could see that the stablizers were not in use and the ship was so smooth. Just counted we are only a few cruises away from Diamond Plus!
Maddycakes Posted June 1, 2008 Author #7 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Hi, We are going on LOS this fall and would love to hear more about Little Divi Bay. We are planning on going there with our 4yo dd. How much was the taxi? Rentals for chairs/umbrella? How were food/drink options? Did you do anything else in St Martin that day? Thanks! Glad you had a great cruise! We sailed with our 2 1/2, but little divi was a big girls day out for me:D The Taxi was 4$ per person:D They have umbrella's and chair's for rantal's, but the attendant was a little sweet on one of the girls in my group so he did not charge us, so we just tipped him. I noticed two different places to eat one was inside, and the other was pool side. We chose the pool side because the pool was breath taking and it was only second best to the view. The food was OUTSTANDING!!!! We had a carribbean chicken salad, which had a beaufiful presentation, and a steak philly, which had real chunks of steak grilled onion and peppers with gordigonzolla(SP) cheese broiled on top. The prices were reasonable for a resort. It was around 10$ an item. Before we got to little divi we spent a couple of hours shopping on the Dutch side. We went to Little Divi because we booked a massage in their spa. They were VERY a lot cheaper than the massages on the boat and in better. If I left anything out please just ask:)

Maddycakes Posted June 1, 2008 Author #10 Share Posted June 1, 2008 personally I like RCI voyager class better, but if you ask my DH he would probably say he likes the freedom class
alexkrn46 Posted June 1, 2008 #11 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Maddycakes I don't think we'll be on a freedom class ship for along time, mostly due to the fact we have been to all the ports. But I am glad we went, only time will tell when we go on another freedom class
raytownlady Posted June 1, 2008 #12 Share Posted June 1, 2008 Did you have to book the massage at the Little Divi resort in advance? If so how did you contact them, is there an email address or a link to a website? Thanks
