cruisernurse Posted June 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Can anyone tell me what is the current rate for a taxi to the ship from the airport? Is there a cheaper method of transportation that doesn't take forever to load and get there? We leave next Sun June 15th for our honeymoon. Thanks!! RayInPR Posted June 8, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 8, 2008 It depends on which pier your ship is leaving from ... If it's one of the piers in Old San Juan, the fare will be $19. If you're leaving from the Pan America pier, the fare will be $15. Fares are for up to 5 people. Don't forget to figure in the extra charges for luggage. All the details are in our travel guide at http://www.puertoricodaytrips.com/2008/01/16/getting-around-by-taxi/ Hope this helps!
maxs mom Posted June 8, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Definitely just grab a cab.....It should take no more than 15 minutes. That's the best way to go.
Coqui2007 Posted June 8, 2008 #4 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Another cab vote :o) Also, if you are getting in early and need to store luggage check out thsi post http://www.visit-the-coqui.com/2008/05/puerto-rico-cruise-luggage-options/
toonjie Posted June 9, 2008 #5 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Taxi for sure, as stated above, and don't worry about the time or being cheated, there is a taxi dispatcher right outside the door you come out of with your luggage and they will write you up a slip with the final price you will pay. They'll have you loaded and on your way within minutes of exiting the airport.
