nvrendingluvv Posted June 8, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 8, 2008 Do you know if there is a place to get henna tattoos on the boat? Just curious. Thanks in advance!:)

NeurosurgeryNP Posted June 9, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 9, 2008 On the Caribbean Princess, I do not think they had henna tattoos, but rather "temporary" tattoos available on the Lido deck by the pool for a nominal fee.
nvrendingluvv Posted June 9, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted June 9, 2008 By "temporary", what do you mean?
nvrendingluvv Posted June 9, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Henna is temporary as well. Is there any difference between the two?
cruise4kicks Posted June 9, 2008 #6 Share Posted June 9, 2008 No henna tattoos on any cruise ship I've been on, but they are available in some ports. As a previous poster noted, those available onboard are temporary of some sort -- painted, airbrushed or decals.

NeurosurgeryNP Posted June 9, 2008 #8 Share Posted June 9, 2008 As the other poster said, I did not see henna - but they advertised "temporary" tattoos of some sort. The examples looked colorful - and therefore did not represent henna.
jwave Posted June 9, 2008 #9 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Temporary tattoos are sometimes airbrushed (which is what I think I remember on Princess) or a little like a sticker that is on a paper and transferred to your skin with water.
vowsatsea Posted June 9, 2008 #10 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Didn't see Henna either. I only saw temporary airbrushed tattoos on the Lido deck.
Dee Posted June 9, 2008 #11 Share Posted June 9, 2008 On one of our cruises there were free tatoos drawn on with marking pens. These lasted thru 3 or 4 showers.

Go-Bucks! Posted June 9, 2008 #13 Share Posted June 9, 2008 The whole cruise if you didn't take a shower! Guess that would be an easy way to determine someone's cleanliness!
NitroNurse Posted June 9, 2008 #14 Share Posted June 9, 2008 The "airbrushed" tattoos are made with latex ink (probably want to avoid them if you are allergic to latex). They can be colorful, they charge you more if you want to add colors. They can last 7-10 days if you are "careful," meaning that you take care not to rub them in the shower or when drying off. My husband got one of these tattoos when we went to Mexico on Carnival. He wanted to freak out our kids by telling them he got drunk on Tequila and got tatooed. They didn't believe it for a second....they know him too well. :D NitroNurse
