Cosmic Rays Posted June 15, 2008 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2008 Please can somebody tell me if it is easier to get flights from Anchorage or from Fairbanks back to Vancouver and are there direct flights or are ALL flights via Seattle? We are looking to do a cruise tours and arrange our own flights to and from the UK. This may well determine which land tour we do next year, one to include Copper River or Kenai before heading north to McKinley and Denali. Copper River eventually leaves Anchorage and the Kenai trip from Fairbanks. Experienced Alaskan cruisers comments will be gratefully accepted as this will be a trip of a lifetime I think, and like many others I know welcome comments and suggestions. We plan the trip in early June. Thanks, Colin:) :)
MINIMAD Posted June 15, 2008 #2 Share Posted June 15, 2008 last year we went by train to Denali then on the Fairbanks. The flight back to Vancouver from Fairbanks landed in Anchorage. Fairbanks was a very busy airport so flights should not be a problem
tully07 Posted June 15, 2008 #3 Share Posted June 15, 2008 There are direct flights from Anchorage to Vancouver -- Alaska Airlines and Air Canada both have direct flights -- there may be others.
