Hi all! I want to do my own thing on St. Thomas. Could someone tell me how much taxis will cost? (Or buses if they are safe.)

 

First, off at the Carnival pier, is there a shopping mall right there next to the pier? Havensight Mall? Should I go to Havensight Mall or Charlotte Amalie for shopping? Best bargains are...?

 

One way taxi cost for ? Is it per person or up to 4 per taxi?

1. Pier to Charlotte Amalie?

2. Pier to Magen's Beach?

3. Pier to Coki's Beach?

The Havensight Mall is right at the pier. I would suggest you check out both Havensight and Charlotte Amalie. The selection is better in town, pricing is comparable. You'll find many of the same stores in both places, but there are many more in town.

 

Taxi to Charlotte Amalie is $5.00 each way per person. Most taxis are actually converted pickup trucks which hold 20-25 passengers.

 

Can't help with accurate fares to other locations. Perhaps someone else can provide that information for you.

But you need to remove the spaces.

 

You can also just google Virgin Islands Now to get to the site. It's a fabulous source of information on the USVI.

Carnival ships ususally dock in Havensight.

Havensight to Charlotte Amalie is $4 pp, one way. (About 1.4 miles, one way, if you wanted to walk it.)

Havensight to Magens is $8 pp, one way.

Havensight to Coki is $9 pp, one way.
