shoreguy Posted October 16, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2004 Next to the EPS Cam the Miami Port cam was one of my favorites. The cam is now back up just in time for the return of the fleet. The Sun is back for her last season before moving to New Orleans next winter. Miami Cam - NCL Sun
sailfool Posted October 16, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 16, 2004 Great views, I am going to try and watch as she departs this evening. The great thing about the Miami cam is that you can zoom and change angles, should be able to watch her all the way out the channel.

bnup Posted October 16, 2004 #8 Share Posted October 16, 2004 Part of my job is to listen to the marine radio at work, it was exciting to hear the the captain of the Sun call the Port of Miami when it came in this morning. Our turn next Saturday.
Fran0521 Posted October 16, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 16, 2004 Great pictures today of the Port of Miami, we will be on the 11/13 sailing of the Sun and it can't get here quick enough :D :D
Lib0007 Posted October 17, 2004 #10 Share Posted October 17, 2004 I'm confused . . . doesn't the Spirit depart tonight at 8:00? And when looking at the port cam, how do you tell which ship is which? I'd LOVE to see the Spirit now that she's finally made it to Miami. I noticed the Spirit isn't on krooz-cams - are there anymore cams that we can watch it on? Thanks!! The ship is back at the Miami Port you can see her now. You could also check the port cams on Krooz-cams. The Miami cam will give you the best view. Lib0007 Posted October 17, 2004 #12 Share Posted October 17, 2004 Thanks Shoreguy - I completely forgot about the one day cruise this weekend. I love seeing the Spirit in Miami! I would love to hear some comments from the recent Spirit cruisers.
Vidimom Posted October 17, 2004 #13 Share Posted October 17, 2004 I was on the Spirit last night and things in Miami were a mess! There apparently was a bomb scare in the Carnival Terminal and according to security, they closed the port to traffic, both coming and going to handle the situation so all ships were late leaving. We were scheduled to leave at 4pm and pulled out about 6pm. The Spirit is a beautiful ship with lots of restaurants to choose from. Only drawback we found was the size and layout of the casino. It was crazy there!!! They had high rollers on board (about 200+) and you couldn't get near a table if you tried to. I would like to give her a try on a 9 night soon.! Lib0007 Posted October 17, 2004 #14 Share Posted October 17, 2004 The Spirit looks really cool sitting in port all lit up.
sailfool Posted October 17, 2004 #15 Share Posted October 17, 2004 That explains why Sun was 2 hours late leaving yesterday. I thought maybe it was just that she needed a little extra time since she just finished her repositioning. Nice picture of the Spirit tonight all lit up. What was the purpose of a 1 day cruise? Was it just a gambling excursion?
Lib0007 Posted October 18, 2004 #16 Share Posted October 18, 2004 The Spirit is heading out on her first 5 day Caribbean cruise right now.
MartiniMama Posted October 18, 2004 #17 Share Posted October 18, 2004 Didn't it look great all lit up ... I was watching it too.....gave me goosebumps! Can't wait --- that will be me in 2 weeks!!! :D I should get my fellow cc cruisers on the ship to hold a big banner that reads CRUISE CRITIC at a certain time and see if anyone on the computer can spot us!
