Windstar Across The Atlantic?

Have you seen my comments from our cruise last year?

We sailed on the Wind Surf, chose it because we thought it may be a bit better if the seas were rough. But, the seas were as calm as could be. Also, chose it for the gym facilities.

Most passengers keep themselves occupied, with some organized activites occurring through the day. Not much happened at night - music in the lounge and in the Compass Rose. The crew did a show on the last night and it was wonderful.

Any other questions, post here.

:) We have crossedthe Atlantic on a Windstar ship 10 times and are scheduled for our 11th this Nov. on the Windspirit. Many repeat cruisers who just enjoy being at sea. Only once did we experience rough seas and the weather is usually very good for on deck reading, sunning and justgood relaxation.Enjoy-

:) We have sailed on all 3 of the ships. The Spirit and Star are identical and only hold 146 passengers while the Surf takes 306 when full. The bigger ship has more deck space with larger pools and a big fitness area. Cabin location is purely personal but there will be less motion midship. The Surf also has a seperate dining room which can be booked. All cabins and suites are the same size.

It's worth noting that the crossing don't seem to get fully booked.

Windsurf's 2007 eastbound had 146 passengers

Windsurf's 2008 eastbound had 81 passengers

We haven't done a westbound but from talking to people who have they have talked of similar numbers. That said, in April they already had booking from over 100 for the November westbound crossing.

Yes, we have done this cruise several times, and will be there in Lisbon on the Windsurf...we will tour Portugal the week prior to the embarkation, and might be pretty tired. We have booked a suite, and realy like that, as we often entertain folks we meet and want to get better acquainted with. Smooth sailing, everyone...
