FLL Car Rental Shuttle to ship?

Do any of the airport car rentals in Ft. Lauderdale offer a shuttle to or from the ship? We're flying in a day early, and I haven't reserved a car yet - with only 5 days to go - and was thinking it might make sense to pay a few dollars more IF one of the majors offers shuttles to the ship.

(yes, we're leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and not Miami!)

Where are you staying in Fort Lauderdale?

You are wanting to go back to the airport to drop the car off and then be shuttled to the port?

Have you looked into Budget Rental Car at Quay Plaza on 17th? They are just a stones throw away from the port. The last time we rented from them, March 2007, they still offered complimentary shuttle to the port. I would call to verify since things change quickly. :)

We're flying in to Ft. Lauderdale on Wed, and want to pick up a car there. We're going to stay with family in West Palm beach, and then drive back on Thursday morning.

Ideally, I'd like to find a rental agency that shuttles back to the port.

(Thanks for the alamo tip, I'm going to check with them)

Most car rental firms are licensed to do business at Port Everglades and when ships are in port, may provide courtesy shuttle service to/from the cruise terminals to their nearby offsite locations. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport recently opened a Rental Car Center which houses a number of car rental companies servicing both the airport and the seaport.

A single shuttle pickup at Port Everglades is offered by many of the rental car companies at the Center. (they all share the same shuttle bus).

A single shuttle pickup at Port Everglades is offered for the following rental car companies at the Center: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Continental, Dollar, Enterprise, EZ Rent-A-Car, Hertz, National, Payless, Royal and Thrifty.

Recommend that you confirm the availablility of shuttle service with your car rental company as contracts between the car rental facilities and the county operated shuttle buses change from time to time.
