On our own, or shore excursion

Do we need to book an excursion thru the ship to go to the aquarium and pirate museum? It sounds like key west is pretty small. If we are able to walk, then we would. Anyone know of a good map where all the tourist spots are located??

I'm assuming by your signature you'll be here on Imagination. You'll dock at the Outer Mole and you'll have to ride the shuttle into town (5 min). The shuttle drops you off right in front of the Aquarium and Museums. No need to book excursions for those.

Yes. You're in luck. Majesty always docks at B, AKA Westin Pier. :)

Thanks Paul. Is the pirate museum very close as well??? Is there anything else you would highly recommend? We are bringing our 2 daughters as well (9and 11).

The Pirate Museum is at 524 Front St. It is an easy walk.

 

Right next to the Aquarium is the Shipwreck Historeum. At the end of the tour in the Historeum, there is a tower to climb for a great view of the harbor and your cruise ship.

 

The little ones might enjoy the Butterfly Conservatory. It's about a mile walk down Duval St. Here is a link:
