I am also in favour of Europe being divided into smaller sections. I think there should be a separate section for 1. Britain, 2. France and Spain, and 3. Scandinavian Countries.

 

Actually Globaliser's ideas come nearest to the mark.

 

Now how do we go about getting this done?

FWIW, I had been thinking along the following almost-concluded lines, myself:-

The existing Baltic forum could be expanded to include Norwegian fjords, Spitsbergen (which is part of Norway anyway) and Iceland.

 

The existing Britain forum should expressly include Ireland, to avoid ambiguity. If Iceland is not thought appropriate for the expanded Baltics forum, then it could be included with Britain and Ireland.

 

There should be the new Mediterranean forum that is being asked for.

 

The existing Europe forum could then be renamed "Other Europe", and could then cover Benelux, the Atlantic ports of France, Portugal and Spain, and the islands of the Azores, Canaries and Madeira.

But on second thoughts, as there is so much Med stuff already on the current Europe board, what we should probably do is to rename the current Europe forum "Mediterranean", and then make a new "Other Europe" forum.
