derekthesailor Posted August 28, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2008 Oh dear, having had an upsell on the Norwegian Jade, there is no doubt that the suite life is for me. I've just booked the Norwegian Jewel for next August and only a silver key card will do. Ah well, will just have to work some overtime to pay for it
noreddye Posted August 28, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2008 We decided to splurge this time and purchased the Owner's Suite on the Dawn. We have only had balcony cabins before. Any advise on the difference of a balcony cabin and a suite. Hopefully we make a good decision.:o

But most especially breakfast in Cagney's is a great bonus, as is passing the queues at check-in and being escorted on board. Real VIP treatment. Showing a silver card when entering a restraurant seems to get the best available table as well.:)

noreddye Posted August 29, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Hi Noredeye! We're on your cruise too, an AD (Romance) Suite. I'm thinking about upgrading....this is our first cruise.....any suggestions????? Hi Capp! We will need to meet somewhere on the boat. I debated for almost three months before upgrading. We originally booked an AC room. As I was looking at the floor plans, I decided I wanted a seperate bedroom from the living area (which AC and AD do not have). With all of the additional perks AA has I could not resist. When you are selecting your cabin, find out what the square footage of the room is because you can pay the same price for your suite and get a smaller room. If you have additional questions let me know. :)

joeeless Posted August 29, 2008 #8 Share Posted August 29, 2008 What classification of stateroom is considered VIP? I see that term bandied around a lot, but have never seen to whom it really refers

WinnieinWA Posted August 29, 2008 #10 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Once you get a taste of the suite life with butler and concierge you will have a really tough time going for anything less. We had the Owners suite to Alaska 2 weeks ago and now we're so spoiled I booked us an AC for the same cruise next May.:D What a way to go! :D
joeeless Posted August 29, 2008 #11 Share Posted August 29, 2008 Thank you James. We have booked an AE and I didn't really consider us to be VIP's, but it is nice to know that NCL does
