If booking a future cruise aboard a ship on Princess to take advantage of the reduced deposit, does one end up booking the next cruise through Princess or can one use one's own travel agent to do so? Thanks!

An FCC can be booked either way. You can book with a TA and find the best deal you can and book it that way using the Future Cruise Deposit or direct with Princess. Plus, remember, you will receive shipboard credit from Princess depending on the length of the cruise and type of stateroom booked no matter who you book with. This credit can also be combined with credits offered by travel agents.

You have several choices. You can book it thru Princess and leave it with them. You can book it with Princess and then have it transferred to any TA. You can just purchase the FCC on board and book thru Princess after the cruise. Finally, you can purchase the FCC on board and book with any TA at a later date.

We do FCC on every cruise. This last time, when we got home, we booked a 7 day carribbean and then decided to also do a 20 day Australia cruise. I requested that Princess remove the first FCC on the Caribbean and apply it to the 20 day cruise. They said we could use both. They put the 7 day on my name with my husband going as a "friend" and then the opposite for the 20 day cruise. Bottom line was we got the FCC for both cruises. They were very helpful with this suggestion. They are also giving the same shipboard credit to another couple travelling with us to the Caribbean. We did all this through our travel agent.
