Hi: After reading all the previous posts I decided to call NCL. Our cruise is Feb 6/09 on Jewel in AE suite. Person that answered offered me a $600.00 obc(2 cruisers) because we were latitude members and I would have to pay $60.00 more on the total cruise. Dah $600 for $60 I took it and now have an email stating that.

Thanks NCL

Hi, we booked on the N. Star on April 10/1010 and we are in an AE penthouse. We rec'd $300 total OBC's.

Browniegirl

If it was a 2009 sailing you should have received $600.00 but you got $300.00 as everyone booking 2010 are getting the sale onboard credit.

It is great though.

I actually booked through CAS. I called them on Friday to see what they could do. I didn;t have to rebook at all. I think it's hit or miss sometimes.

Cruise Freak did exactly what a good TA should do. Good job CF:)

I booked with CAS for 10/09 months ago...

called last week...and got the $50 OBC .......but they told me I could not have the Lattitudes...as they had already "figured that in" when I booked...but it was not an OBC..just part of their rate % reduction..

WHich OBC are you referring to...the extra Lattitudes?? and is it just the DMPP6 code ? If so...I may call again...

Darn they make it so hard...

I do not know the codes they used but it was actually 2 differnent ones so whatever they were looking at I don't think one (or both?) had anything to do with the current promo but I would call and say you are insterested to see what they have to offer since NCL has a promo offering OBC and you wanted to make sure you are getting everything available to you. I only booked mine about a month ago so maybe since it was failrly new I was able to get "something" Doesn't hurt to try. I'm telling you, I think it varies on who you get and the mood you both are in. Try again. Good luck.:)

(PS: Don't get me in trouble! )

Well for your TA to indicate is wasn't worth it, is lazy on her part in my opinion, that being said, it looked like you got about the right credit. If you got your union discount and an OBC good for you.

Nita

Nita,

I'm sort of confused. We had booked last month through Casino's At Sea for Bermuda in June, 2009. We booked an AB suite. When this sale started, I called CAS and they gave me a $300 OBC. Are you saying that we should/could get more because we are latitudes members?

Thanks,

CG

There is a little misinformation given on this topic.

The onboard credit is as follows:

$50.00 for an inside

$100.00 for an oceanview

$150.00 for a balcony

$200.00 for a mini-suite

$300.00 for a suite

$500.00 for a courtyard villa or garden villa

The extra $100.00 for latitudes is a bonus for IS-OV-BL-MS but suites get $300.00 for the latitudes.

I hope this clear everything up.

I am a TA and have been booking alot of these this last two weeks plus went back to all of my guests and got it for them as well.

So, the $300 for lattitudes suites...is that in ADDITION to the $300 for suites that is being offered for general public sale? If I'm reading this right, as a lattitudes member who is booked in an AB suite for June 2009, I should have $600 OBC?

I'm with the others......I'm confused! :D

I think a few post back someone stated that CAS does not give Lattitude OBC promos so I think what you got (and I got) is something totally different. That's my story and I'm sticking to it;)

I did get the $300 OBC that is advertised for the sale..nothing to do with Latitudes. However, I luckily got the right person when I called. She put it right through for me, no problem. Got my cousin to call cause she had the same cabin catgory, right next door to me, booked on the same cruise through CAS. She got someone different on the phone who said if they put the OBC through for her, her cruise would go up in price a lot and it wasn't worth it. I called back and asked for the person I spoke with and she put it right through for my cousin.

So it really does depend on who you talk to. I think I'm gonna call back and ask about the Latitudes OBC...can't hurt.

The DMPP6 is the latitudes code. The one I was referring to was the current sale and that code is TAWLCN. Good luck and let me know as I didn't have any luck with any onboard credits and I booked the GV

I booked an AB suite on the Dawn yesterday. NCL and other TAs quoted

a certain price and I would have received $600.00 onboard credits. I booked at $654.00 less & received the $300.00 TAWLCN promo code credit. Is this starting to make sense to anyone? They really do make it so confusing. I feel you have to check like crazy to make sure you're getting all the credit you're entitled to.

When I called CAS last week..they gave me $50 OBC..for Tawlcn code..(inside room)...my confusion is that there was an "extra" OBC mentioned here ...for Lattitudes...(over and above Tawlcn)--but they said I already had that.(see previous post)..but the $50 is my only OBC for this cruise.....

Thanks to you wonderful people, I booked the Panama Canal cruise for 9/09 and got an $800 OBC.

I told my PCC that I had seen the offer on the boards for $600 OBC and she said, Oh no you will get alot more than that.....I booked and she gave me $800.

Don't know why, don't know how, but that will pay for alot of martinis

or whatever.:)

Thanks again for keeping us all informed.

That's great, Barbara! Did you book a suite? If so, it looks like you received the $500 plus $300 onboard credits. Nice!

I called CAS and ended up with $100 more OBC and a lower cruise price by over $250. Don't know how they figured the OBC (4 latitudes members in a suite) but the agent thinks that the latitudes OBC is $25 for the first two people in a room (bronze) doubled because we're in a suite. Also can't figure out why the cruise price was less cause the price has not budged on NCL's website since we booked at the end of last month.

So, I don't know the WHY of these things, but am pleased. :D

I don't know why but I can't figure out what cas means, who are you calling NCL direct?

I have a mini suite on hold and was only offered the $200 OBC, I did just call my TA to ask about the extra latitudes OBC hopefully it will be good news!

I guess I am confused:confused: My TA called back after I inquired about the extra OBC for latitudes and she said after a long time on hold they came back and told her my price dropped $20 per person and they added $50 OBC, for a total of a $40 discount and $250 OBC for a minisuite.

It doesn't seem consistant. But I'm wondering... did the price drop and I still should really be getting another $50 OBC?

I wonder if you got more because it's a longer cruise (the ncl canal cruises seem to be from 14-19 days)

We booked a few months ago. I emailed her today and asked her if it was possible to get in on the current on board credit sale. She sent me an email with a revised reservation. $600 OBC!:D

Great-too bad though that you we'll miss each other by about a month. I could have picked you up on my way over to Seattle ;)

My PCC just took care of me in a similarly great way. :D I'm loving that this sale doesn't seem to be limited to new bookings!

Almost makes me wonder if the 3 of us have the same PCC

A reminder to all...members can't ask for Travel Agent referrals on the message board. That includes posting your e mail address and asking to be e mailed the information. That's a board violation and can cause you to lose posting priviledges. Please take a moment to review the board guidelines.
