Could the upgrade Fairy be this nice???

I am booked on Dec 7 Carn. Pride to Mexican Riv... Paid a whoppin' $435.00 for a balcony guar. Still do not have a room assignment... When calling my PVP I find out that there are no more balcony rooms available! I said.. ok I do get a room, yes? She said all we have open now are a lot of Suites! Is it possible? That is if they don't a balcony cancellation this late in the game... Could I get that lucky? Has this happened to anyone?

We are going on the Pride the week before you. I was wondering this too, and called Carnival. The lady said that they sometimes hold cabins for the guarentee cabins. Not sure if that is true.

Oh please be sure to let us know what happens! Have you checked on Carnival's website to see if you have a cabin assignment yet?

If you have the facts straight, chances are that some with balcony assignments will get upgraded to a suite which will make a balcony cabin available for you. Yeah, I know that you didn't want to hear that.

I thought that as well as far as others wanting the upgrades and I will be left with a regular balcony. A girl can only hope :) I will let you know what ends up happening. There are oodles of open balcony rooms tho....

We are in the same position have an OV guarantee for our sailing of the Legend 14 December.We have not been allocated a cabin yet and OV cabins are sold out but some balcony cabins available. I was wondering if they held cabins for the guarantees.
