may1021 Posted November 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2008 I'm interested in going on Zuiderdam on Jan 8 and have been watching the price. Saw new "sale price" on HAL email and was hopeful but it was higher than what was quoted on vacationsonly website. Pricing can drive one crazy. I'm still watching and hoping price will drop again. I'm watching another cruiseline too with similar cruise so whoever is lowest, will get my business. Anyone have any expertise on when prices might drop...one month before??...or just whenever. thanks.
Rare Roz Posted November 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2008 Cruise prices are like stock prices - they can go up, down, or stay the same. Waiting is a gamble. When I see a price that's acceptable to me, I book. Roz
patwin Posted November 12, 2008 #3 Share Posted November 12, 2008 We had booked March 8th, on SS category for CAD2,266. We thought the price was good so we booked it. If prices drop, our TA is willing to adjust for us, obviously has to be before final payment. PW

Hope this helps ... Rochelle
may1021 Posted November 12, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted November 12, 2008 What is the name of this website? I use a Travel Agent but he is sort of semi retired. Recently used Cruisesonly.com for a Feb. cruise and so far so good. Have talked to them 3 times and they are very helpful and pleasant. Used Crucon.com once and was not happy so wouldn't use them again.
