De castro tours

i was wondering about the booking procedures for decastro tours. he wants us to wire him a deposit but some people in my group are nervous about this. any advice??

We also wired our deposit ( or at least a fellow CC member did on our behalf) to De Castro and had no problems. They were totally professional and we really enjoyed our tour.

Our roll call group did the same last Nov. and had an excellent tour with them. Dahlia was our guide and did a super job. See the thread below for more details.

Ditto on the wire transfer. We've used DeCastro two years in a row for extended visits to Egypt, and will use them again in 2009 for two days while in Alexandria. I wish they'd take credit cards, but the wire, other than being cumbersome, was no problem.

How much deposit is DeCastro asking for? On some of the older posts it is 25% and the newer ones seem to be 50%.

Our deposit was 50% in Sept 08.
