Why isn't this board more active?

We can see by the number of views that there are plenty on members who frequent this board, but the post are few compared to other boards. It seems as though the same members post all the posts. If you are lurking and are Cunard past passengers or future passengers as we are, won't you join in and share your experience or curiousities?

I wouldn't take it personally. Of all the times I've posted on here, only a handful reply for some reason.

I love sharing my experiences with Cunard. Everyone knows that.

But a few take the time to say something.Maybe it's bad timing.

Maybe they're shy. Maybe they hate me for some reason. LOL

You'll find alot of folk like that. Go to any roll call, and you'll hear crickets for a while. Then people start coming out of the woodwork. And the same applies once on board.

Some let everyone know that they're going, others stay quiet and mention that they were ON after they come back. It's not my business to ask, so I never bother. If they have something to hide, no big deal. If they want to say hi to me whilst on board, I'm for it.

Just look at the gang thats going on the Dec crossing. What a motley crew! But the turnout is amazing. And I'll bet 5 bucks that there will be others on the crossing who will be 'incognito'

all the way to NY.

Guess you might call it human nature......

While 4 cruises (not counting several one day river cruises as part of land tours) hardly makes us seasoned travelers, we have laways found people friendly and outgoing once on board. Perhaps the average Cunarder is less likely to be the IM type than the Carnival cruiser. Since this will be our first cruise in about 20 years sans kids, and with our upgrade to a Q5 suite, we are certainly psyched. I knowthis week will crawl until we finally board next Tuesday.

Another lurker here. Actually, it's a relief not to have to wade through thousands of posts on the Cunard board like one finds on some of the others. Maybe Cunarders just like to keep things neat and tidy! In any event, I enjoy reading the posts.

Simple numbers I'm afraid. Cunard has two ships, most of time sailing itineraries longer than a week so they don't have a particularly high number of guests in a year. Contrast this to just the Carnival Paradise, loading up with 2000+ passengers twice a week, this single ship likely carries more passengers as the entire Cunard fleet does in a year. It's no surprise that there's more action on the Carnival boards in that light! Same logic can be applied to all the major cruise brands.

Also, some of the Cunard passengers from countries other than North America are likely posting their questions and reviews on one of the numerous UK and other European cruise boards.
