Diane1432 Posted November 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2004 when do you ask for upgrades at the port or before?
Nitemare Posted November 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2004 It depends. Most upgrades are given automatically, based on how full the ship is, how many times you've traveled on that cruiseline, and how much you paid (like if the prices have dropped). It also varies by cruiseline. Your Travel Agent can help you with this, also if you know what cruiseline you're going on, ask on the board here dedicated to your cruiseline for best information. WeBeGone Posted November 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2004 Most cruise ships are going out full now so the days of getting an upgrade at the port are pretty well past. Check with your TA or cruiseline after you get your docs.
palmgirl Posted November 26, 2004 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2004 Ask your TA to tell the cruise line that you would like to be upgraded. Believe it or not some people get upset if they do not get the room they booked, even going from inside to outside. These days most cruise lines do not upgrade unless you have indicated that you would like one.
