Snorkeling on our own-Eden Beach

We plan on getting off the boat & doing Eden Beach ourselves. Here is what I've gathered from other post: $6 gear, $9 cab, $6 chair. Does this sound right?...is it $9 cab ea way, how far is walking from the pier? Are there clean restroom facilities @ the beach? Any other suggestions for doing the beach on your own? Thanks

We were thinking of either Eden beach or the Plaza but since our ship doesnt arrive until 1 pm we were wondering if they are usually out of chairs or chaises at that hour.

We were just in Bonaire last Tuesday and went to Eden Beach. We got a taxi as quick as we could as we docked at 1pm as well (celebrity Summit). We were almost the first ones on the beach....got chairs no problem. It was a great location to snorkel. The beach is on the edge of a coral ledge and there were so many fish that hung out just under the ledge. Recommendation.....enter the water to the right of the dock as the current will slowly "drift you" to the left past the dock. Very relaxing and very beautiful. We arranged to have a taxi pick us up at a specified time, but there were others waiting there to return us to the ship. It was beautiful... I only wished we would have had more time there!

Are there clean restroom facilities @ the beach?

 

yes there are clean bathrooms at Eden Beach...just walk through the bar and hang a right.

 

Also to get into the water you can go off the pier and use the ladder...the snorkeling was excellent!

Was it easy to find a shady spot at Eden Beach?

(one of our travelers is not supposed to be in the sun much).

Perhaps there's a beach bar? Please help... any details you could provide would be most helpful.

Did u use the pool at Eden Beach Resort?
