Hello,

Coki Beach has the best snorkeling that is beach accessaible in a convienient location, with parking, taxi stand, food/drinks ect. Sapphire and Secret Harbor are good too. A charter snorkeling trip will take you out to spots that are not quite accessiable or not accessiable by land/beach so are often quieter and more pristine. Visit http://vinow.com/stthomas/SandL/ and look at some of the web sites listed and see if the charter option appeals to you. There is also a beach guide on that same site so you can look at the beach options.

We like to go over to St. John's on The Winifred, a sailboat available by the day. It's a wonderful day trip, full of great snorkeling, and lots of fun. Captain Sharon only books a total of 6 people (our family of three had the boat all to ourselves) in addition to herself, and her first mate Tommy. Many on this board have done this trip, and I don't think anyone has not enjoyed their day.
