We have two cruise CDs that we listen to in the weeks approaching our cruise. I left one at work, but here is the song listing for the other:

The other CD has about as many songs, but includes some more modern artists (e.g. Dido - Sand in my Shoes).

Would LOVE to see the other CD list....:)

Wonderful lists and choices here! I've printed them off and downloading them for my cruise CD for next year. We have a long drive to Galveston, so these CD's will be perfect to help pass the time.

What about "What Happens in Mexico, stays in Mexico", by Toby Keith?:D :D

one was a lot of steel drum music, with a little "Hot, Hot, Hot" thrown in. Also some Harry Belafonte ("Jamaica Farewell", "Day-O", "Jump In The Line"), Baja Men ("Island Boy", "Back to the Island"), St. Somewhere ("Pineapple Willies", "I Don't Know Why I Love It, I Just Do"), Jab-Jab ("Spice Island Jam"), Bob Marley ("Three Little Birds", "One Love").

The other has:

"Pour Me A Vacation" by The Great Divide

"Miami" by Will Smith

"Love Boat Theme"

"Beyond the Sea" by Kevin Spacey

""Down to the Islands" by the Caribbean Cowboys

"Guitars & Tiki Bars" by Kenny Chesney

"When the Sun Goes Down" by Kenny Chesney

"Some Beach" by Blake Shelton

"Coconut" by Harry Nilsson

"Cayo Hueso" by the Tom Carey Band

"Walking On Sunshine"

I love reading these lists, but every one I see, I think, "Dang, I forgot that one!" Who knew there were so many. Here's the list from the cd my husband made this year. I listen to it while at the tanning booth.

Cheeseburger in Paradise - J. Buffett

Banana Boat Song - H. Belafonte

Jamming - B. Marley

Sloop John B. - Beach Boys

Rejoice - Inner Circle

Changes in Lattitudes, Changes in Attitudes - J. Buffett

Vahevala - Loggins and Messina

One Love/People get ready - B. Marley

Brandy - Looking Glass

Son of a Son of a Sailor - J. Buffett

Black and White - Inner Circle

Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding

Good Vibrations - Beach Boys

Margaritaville - J. Buffett

Daydream - Lovin' Spoonful

No Woman No Cry - B. Marley

Summer Breeze - Seals and Crofts

Beyond the End - J. Buffett

Language of Love - Inner Circle

Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

Volcano - J. Buffett

I probably won't have the chance to listen to it on the ship, but it sure is helping me get in the mood!

Have a quick suggestion for music junkies like myself. When on any vacation I take my portable DVD along. You can buy speakers to increase volume if not loud enough through player. Anyway, burn CD's to music files on your computer and then transfer them to a CD as data files, not as music files. Newer DVD players will play them no worries. The advantage is you can put around 125 songs on one CD, bring 2 and you have enough music for any mood.

I take lots of Pat Metheny (jazz)cd's, & I burn copies of my originals so if they become lost, broken etc. it's no big loss. Relaxing in my lounge chair, closing my eyes, I can smell the tanning oils already!

Was in port @ St. Lucia 2 years ago, stopped by the St. Lucia Jazz festival booth (just off pier) & found Pat's drummer Richard Bona was scheduled to be playing there in a couple of weeks w/his band. Had a wonderful chat w/the 2 lovely girls working the counter. They had never heard of Metheny. Upon my return to the ship stopped back in & they were still working so I gave them 2 burned copies of his CDs.

Make the world a better place...share some music!
