Monarch of the Seas Nassau Arrival listed wrong in Itinerary

I was in Nassau on 12/31/2008 on Monarch of the Seas. Our original itinerary from RCI listed a 7 AM arrival, and we booked excursions with that time in mind. When we got on the ship, the compass listed an arrival of 8 AM. We spoke with the Guest Relations (Pursers Desk) Staff, and they were surprised the itinerary listed 7 AM, and they said that was a mistake. Furthermore, the GR staff said they normally are in port at 8 AM and have been on an 8 AM arrival for awhile now.

 

Please be advised that if you're on Monarch coming into Nassau, you may want to plan on an 8 AM arrival even though the itinerary says 7.

 

Anyone who's sailed the 3 or 4 day on Monarch recently please post your Nassau, Bahamas arrival time please!

Thanks! We leave tomorrow. My DD asked me what time we could get off the ship today. Luckily, I said around 9 or 10! Gotta get that sleep after a hards day night!:D

We were on the Monarch Dec 19th and arrived in Nassau on Dec 20th at 11:00 AM. We had breakfast and then went to the front deck of the ship and saw Nassau off in the distance - it was really neat watching us pull in to port as there were 4 other ships there already and then we had to turn around and back into the docking area. Our itinerary did list the correct time but I'm not used to getting to a port that late in the morning.

Just got off the Monarch this morning from the 3 day - the itinerary listed arrival at Nassau at 11am. We arrived at noon, which was the time posted in the Compass.

The arrival times at Nassau are different for the three and four day cruise. On the 3 day cruise,you will arrive in Nassau around 11:00 am. THis is because you go to Nassau on your first day and actually cruise past CoCO Cay during the night.

 

On the 4 day cruise, you go to Coco Cay first and Nassau on the second day. SInce it is much shorter to Nassau from Coco Cay, you should arrive around 8am.

So to clarify my warning - on 4 day Monarch itineraries that list Nassau, Bahamas as 7 AM, plan on 8 AM!
