Renaissance FLL or Marriott Beachplace Towers?

We have a good rate for either the Renaissance FLL or Marriott Beachplace Towers. We are only staying one night pre-cruise but we were wondering which property would be the best? We are not late night people, just looking for a good night sleep, and maybe some shops near by to pick up some soda and extras for the cruise. Any comments, suggestions, or reviews of these properties woud be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I would definately pick the Marriott Beach Place. It is across from the beach, and has a CVS on the property, as well as casual restaurants, and is in a great location to walk around. But it is about 2.5 miles further from the port and airport, which means more cab fare.

They're both fine properties but since your not late night people and just looking for a good nights sleep I'd choose the Renaissance. It's away from the action and nightlife of the Ft Lauderdale strip, it's peaceful and quiet. Your a block from the supermarket to pick up those last minute items and cab fare from the airport and to the cruiseport is cheaper.

Okay that clears things up! LOL:p It sounds like both are good. We recently stayed at the Ren. La Concha in Puerto Rico and loved the room but one night the pool party lasted until 3:30am so maybe we will opt for the quieter property. Thank you both for responding.

I see your concern...I don't know how well the Marriott rooms are soundproofed (you could probably get some clues from TripAdvisor reviews), so if you are concerned about noise, go with the Renaissance, or ask for a west facing room at the Marriott.

Your welcome. You'll be pleased with your selection, it's a fine Marriott property with plenty of nearby shops and restaurants to fill all your needs. ;)
