Boozebabe Posted January 12, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 12, 2009 We are renting a car in FLL and dropping off the next day at Mia airport. Then taking rental car shuttle to the port of Miami. Just wondering how much time to allow for the trip from the car rental return to the ship? This is happening on Jan 25 the day of the Miami Marathon. Any locals have any ideas? Bequia Posted January 12, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 12, 2009 It's typically a 20 minute ride from the airport to the cruiseport. With car rental shuttle service, it's common for them to run every 30 minutes. The marathon may cause slight delays but officials do their best to accomodate everyone.
Chardo Posted January 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 13, 2009 Is there a charge for the rental shuttle to the cruise port? Which rental company? What about after cruise back to the airport rental place (with post-cruise rental reservation)?
DaisyL Posted January 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 13, 2009 We'll be renting a car from Hertz (from FLL for 6 days) and returning it to POM (this is an option on their website) for a cruise. Does anyone know the details about this particular shuttle? Do we need to reserve space on the shuttle to the POM pier? How much time down this whole process take? We are NOT returning the car to either FLL or MIA aiports. As you can tell I'm a little confused and don't want to make the wrong car rental reservation.
