Anyone just returned from the Gem (Disembarkation 1/24/09) ??

Sailing on the 1/25/09 Gem. Wondering if anyone who just got home 1/24/09 has any feedback. I know I can't wait to get onboard!

My review will be up last week.

 

The itinerary was great; the weather was great. Most of the shows were good to great;

 

The food ran from very good to just god-aweful.

The service as a whole was absolutely horrid.

 

We were very disappointed compared to the Dawn a few years ago;

 

that being said, if you've never cruised before, you'll have a great time.

Definitely the best of our twelve cruises and we sailed this itinerary last year. :D:D:D

 

Just about everything: Food, service, weather, sea conditions were great to excellent.

 

Captain Mike Hilden, concierge Alex Forbes were both back on board starting this trip and Klaus Lugmaier made a surprise guest appearance.
