DH and I have now booked a 14 day Italian Mediterranean cruise on the Independence of the sea, sailing away on the 1st of August 2009. On the 3rd of August it's our sixth anniversay ( I know it's not a special one, but we had quite a rubbish year last year, so we have decided to treat ourselves:().

What I would like to know is what could I do, to suprise my lovely husband (posters please do not be sick!!!).

On our actual anniversay we are on a cruising day- if that helps. Plus I would like to book Portofino restaurant for that night but I dont want it to clash with the formal night. Did anyone do this cruise last year? that roughly knows when the formal nights are?? Can anyone help? This is our first cruise. Thanks in advance xxxx:)

I dont know how it is on 14 night cruises but on 7ngt formal night is the second night. But before you go to portifino you could have him get a couples massage which i have no clue how much it cost but the couple at our table last time said it was great. then at dinner have chanpagne or wine or a glass of Louis XIII wating for him ($200 perglass btw. my personal favorite.) Vary early happy anniversry have fun
