Open seating with large group on Liberty

We are a party of 12 departing on the Liberty 1/2/2010. Has anyone tried open seating with a group this size? Not sure if they will be able to accomodate us with 2 tables of 6 near each other. Please let me know if anyone has any experience with this. I would love the flexibility.

I know with anytime dining on Princess if you want to only sit with your group and not whomever comes up next, just waiting for one table of 6 would take about 15 minutes or more sometimes. Waiting for them to hold one table of 6 empty until another opened?? Id guess this could take forever. Good luck.

 

We only once or twice decided to eat with the other folks in our party just because it took so long to wait to have your own table.

 

Does Liberty have this open seating?? Im assuming it must if thats what you signed up for. I havent tried it on Carnival. I think its still being tried out.
