Hilo advice needed

Hi all,

 

We're sailing on the Golden Princess and will be in Hilo on Friday, 12/11/09. Listed arrival time is 8:00 AM and listed departure time is 6:00 PM.

 

I 've booked us on a helicopter flight, and we need to check in for that at 10:45 AM. Should be finished with the flight at 12:45.

 

My question to you all is - what else do we have time to do? Do we have time to drive to VNP after the copter flight? If not that, then is there anything else you can think of that would work? I have a rental car reserved, so driving somewhere would be okay.

Yes, you'll have enough time to go to VNP, it's only about 30 miles from the Airport (though all uphill!).
