Miami Cruise - Orlando First?

Here's something I'd like to pass out to experienced cruisers. Next Feb planning on taking Liberty from Miami. Noticing that Miami hotels are really expensive, so here's a thought. What about flying from NY to Orlando, spending the day at Disney and then driving from Orlando to Miami. I know it's about a four hour drive, but if I'm willing to do it, does that sound cool, or just rediculous? Interested in some opinions.

Sounds cool if you want to visit Orlando. Be careful with drop fees for the rental car - each way? FLL is another, much closer option. Good luck!:)

That's a lot to do in one day....but if you're up for it, do it. Disney for just a day is not cheap either. The seasonal and annual passes are a good deal, but for the price of a day for 2 people, you can get a hotel.

We did it this past December and plan to do it again next December. It's a long drive, but not difficult.

 

Get your passes ahead of time so you don't have to wait in line!
