are there any combo volcano tours? flight /drive?

I really want to fly over the volcano, when we get to the big island. Will we have time to take a flight & then a bus or taxi to the VNP? I've seen it before, but my Dh has not, so we;d like to fit it in, we will be in Hilo from 7am to 7pm. we do not want to rent a car, unless we have no other options.

Blue Hawaiian has the Circle of Fire plus waterfall tour leaving every hour between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. It is 50 minutes long. They leave from the Hilo heliport. There are also longer tours available.

 

Volcano National Park is very close to Hilo and is easy to find. Your time will be much more efficient if you do rent a car.

thank you, We may end up renting a car, as it is the cheaper option & gives us flexibility. However, it is not unusual for DH & I to argue in a car, & I don't want to do that on vacation ;)
