Stern Cabins

Recommended Posts

We are hoping to take the Scandinavia - Russia cruise the end of May 2010. We do want a balcony cabin and the ones on the stern seem to be larger. What is the ride like back there? My DH seems to think it will not be as smooth. We are going to book on Royal Caribbean. Any help with cabin choice would be appreciated.

It's the best you can get... because you still can use it even it's a little more windy. The lee/slip stream allows you to stay even you cannot use the balcony in other parts of the ship - especially bow...

We had now on NORWEGIAN JADE and MSC FANTASIA and we booked again for our next NORWEGIAN JADE-cruise.

In most ports we made the experience it's a nice way to enter and to leave ports.

But there are small disadvantages as well:

1. If you have open decks above your balcony you have the stupid idiots who smoke and throw their cigarettes over board but hit your balcony...

2. If you have the self-service-restaurants or other public decks above of you, maybe you need to expect cleaning works in the early a.m. So with us they tried to clean our balcony from the open deck above in the night time with water.

Beside these small disadvantages: we love them.
