Cell Phone at sea?

Does anyone know if you can use your cell phone on Emerald Princess while at sea? What will be involved and cost?:confused:

We will be going Trans-Atlantic April 29.

I believe there was also a thread a couple of weeks ago specifically pertaining to cell phone use on a TA cruise. You might want to try doing a search for it.

The Emerald Princess has MCP Mobile telephone service. It works on most of the Carriers from the US by a roaming agreement with them. It will be turned on about 12 miles out from FLL and will be on during the TA until 12 miles before the next port. I know the cost for Sprint is 2.49 per minute and all you have to do is have Sprint add you to international roaming.

 

We will be on the Emerald on the next TA in April.
