mooseb Posted March 23, 2009 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2009 In the port reviews for Venice, it mentions that some cruise lines offer complimentary shuttle service. Is Celebrity one of the cruise lines that does?

clivep Posted March 30, 2009 #5 Share Posted March 30, 2009 The terminal has a free shuttle bus for all,not sure of the times though.Cheers The port authority provide this to Piazzale Roma - see http://europeforvisitors.com/venice/articles/venice-cruise-terminal-marittima.htm I believe this only runs Sat/Sun/Mon on the days that ships are embarking/disembarking. We used this last year after disembarking the Summit as we wanted to get the water bus to our hotel on the Lido. The port is quite a walk to the nearest water bus stop so not really an option if you have the suitcases. If the port shuttle is not running then you can get the #6 bus from the port entrance to Piazzale Roma. The shuttle service that Celebrity offers is convenient as their water busses go from inside the port near the ship. They are not cheap and only go to a stop near Piazza San Marco.
