Getting ready to go on the Eurodam on 4/4. First time on HAL. Are there shower caps provided with the toiletries? We are arriving the day before. Our embarkation is 12:00. What time should we arrive at the pier? This is our first time on HAL but we have done many cruises. Is there anything important we should know?

Thanks for the help!

Yes, there's supposed to be a shower cap with the toiletries. If it's missing, just ask your steward for one.

Check-in usually starts about 11:00, with boarding beginning about 11:30. There can be delays in this, though.

At first there will be the early crowd, but it should be thinned out by 12:30-1:00-ish.

Welcome to Cruise Critic! The most "important" thing to know (IMO) about cruising on HAL is the room service options. You are not limited by what it on the menu in your room. You can order anything that's being served in the dining room (during regular dining room hours) and you can write in most anything you'd like on your breakfast order that you hang on your door. If you want eggs benedict...write it in and it will gladly be delivered. This is something that I really enjoy about HAL.

Since you'll be on the Eurodam, don't miss eating at Tamarind. Lunch there is no charge and dinner is $15 -- well worth every cent. Reservations are recommended.

Enjoy your cruise...you're going to LOVE the Eurodam!
