cruznon Posted April 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted April 8, 2009 We will be departing from Seattle for our Alaskan cruise. I haven't been able to locate which pier Princess will be using. We've never been to Seattle and would appreciate any ideas about where to stay. We'd like to get a hotel near the pier area. Any suggestions for hotels in Seattle ? wrp96 Posted April 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Princess will be sailing from Pier 91 which is in the Magnolia area of Seattle, northwest of downtown. There aren't any hotels really close to the pier, so look downtown for a hotel (if you are going to have time to do some sightseeing) or by the airport (if you aren't going to have any sightseeing time). TonyFred Posted April 8, 2009 #5 Share Posted April 8, 2009 Look on the West Coast Departure forum. There is a ton of information on Seattle that I found very useful when planning our cruise from Seattle in May.
LoriPhil Posted April 9, 2009 #6 Share Posted April 9, 2009 We use Priceline to bid for downtown Seattle hotels... always fun to see what you end up with!
Woodmnky Posted April 9, 2009 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2009 You can also google Port of Seattle and the website has a lot of useful information including schedules of other ships in port.
Rstamper Posted April 9, 2009 #8 Share Posted April 9, 2009 We have taken cruises out of Pier 66, which is about 1-1/2 miles away from Pier 91. Some of the motels down there right on waterfront (by Pier 66) are The Edgewater and a Marriott that I can remember. I will be debarking the Golden at Pier 91 in a few weeks. It is a brand new Pier and I think my cruise will be one of the very first cruise ships there.
