NCL Gem staying on ship while at GSC

I will be traveling on the NCL Gem. One of the stops is Great Stirrup Cay. As I have been on many cruises that stopped at many cruise lines private islands I was thinking of making this a ship day. I was just wondering since most of the staff will be on the island for the lunch buffet what will be open on the ship for lunch?

Yes, everything will be open. You'll even have spa and drink specials, too!

Not quite everything will be open. There will not be a main dining room open for lunch. Lunch will be available in the ship's buffet.

 

PS...we usually stay on board at GSC. In the past the ship was almost deserted, which was fine with us, because it was peaceful and uncrowded at the pool and there were no lines in the buffet. When we last cruised in March, we noticed that a substantial percenatge of passengers stayed on board (weather was good for he beach, so that was not an issue).
