Does Grandeur have midnight buffets every night?

I know they have the chocolate buffet one night.. but what about the other nights?

RCCL Does not have "Midnight" Buffets and that comes from Kinga our head waiter on the Explorer of the seas on May 30th, 2004.

They have gone mostly to one GRAND gala buffet on one evening and the remaining evenings they have snacks, etc. that are passed out in the various venues....no doubt because a lot of food was going to waste!

Truffles is right, only one midnight buffet on the 7-day cruises. It is on the second formal night and it's known as the Gala Buffet.

It seems as if the midnight buffet is a thing of the past on almost all

the cruise lines. Many ships now have 24/7 places to get something

to eat, so a midnight buffet isn't really necessary anymore. However,

the "Grand Buffet" is the popular thing these days with ice sculptures,

fabulous dessert items, etc. etc. They allow passengers to go in about

a half hour early to take photographs if they so desire. I am not a

"late night" eater so midnight buffets were really never important to

me. :D

we went on 2 RCCL cruises so far and both had 2 midnight buffets we went on the bigger ships the voyager of the seas(2-2004) and the Exployer of the seas.(6-2003) Both had one on deck the other was in the main dinning room.

There are midnight buffets, just not every night. Not sure what that Captain meant. I cruise RCCL a lot and for the past 3 years or so the deal is, one Gala midnight buffet, and then another midnight buffet on a seperate night, usually a caribbean theme. That buffet has some of the best jerk chicken I've ever had.

Alas, midnight buffets are a thing of the past. At this point, they all have the gala buffet, and longer cruises have one or two additional 'themed' buffets. Typically they are Mexican, Chocolate, or Caribbean. On other nights they have 'Food in Motion' in the public areas, following the lead of Celebrity's 'Gourmet Bites'.

Usually the caribbean buffet/deck party is on a night with a LATE port (IF your cruise has a late port, otherwise it just falls whenever)

I also noticed in lieu of the everynight buffett, waiters would be standing near clubs with trays of finger sandwiches and mini desserts, which IMO I thought was a very nice touch and less work and waste,

That was the Food In Motion (and Gourmet Bites) that I mentioned, but failed to describe. Thanks Ernie!

last January/Feb..they did the "food in motion" at the venues. It was

a nice touch. Since I prefer late seating, the Midnite Buffet was never

my thing anyway. The classy fingerfoods are better.
