Celebrity Sitting Arrangements

Hello Everyone,

I will be sailing solo for the first time with Celebrity Mercury to Alaska in July. I'm pretty much on the introverted side and do little socializing but working on being more outgoing. I'm just wondering if celebrity automatically seat you with other solo cruisers or do you have to make a request? And where on the ship do the other solo cruisers congregate on the ship?

Thanks for replying

Scarlett

Hi Scarlett:) You are going on my favorite ship:D

I have to wait till Sept to sail her again (will be my 7th cruise on

Mercury).

As for seating arrangements, personally, I always request

a large table. An 8 top is a good size (in my opinion). You can

get to know the other folks without yelling and it just seems

to be the right size table.

I have cruised with Celebrity 22 times and for me, well it doesn't

matter what category my tablemates fall into...single, married,

etc...etc...as long as it is a friendly table I am fine. Now,

I am very outgoing so meeting people is easy for me.

Going back in my mind, I remember only 1 cruise where it happened

my tablemates were unattached. We got along fine but I have

had other tables where I was with couples and had a great time

too:)

I would suggest asking for a large table and the Maitr'd and wait

staff are very helpful. If by chance you don't "click" with your

tablemates, go see the Maitr'd after that first dinner. They

really do try and accomodate all sorts of changes.

As for meeting others? You can join in on activities and if you

enjoy a drink, I always hit the Martini Bar befor dinner:D

Its always fun in there!

I don't cruise to meet other solo cruisers.

For me, its about meeting "people" and cruisers are usually

really fun and friendly.:D

I love being pampered, seeing new places or seeing places I enjoy

again, having wonderful food and did I mention being pampered? LOL

And after all my times on X, I always see familiar faces~

The crew and staff on Mercury are wonderful!

Hope you have an awesome time:)
