cougarcb16 Posted June 7, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 7, 2009 Hello everyone I was wondering if I could get some insight from the experts here. I am planning a cruise on the Triumph to Canada on July 18th, and this cruise is for my family and my uncles family. I wanted to know if anyone has done this 5 day itinerary recently and how they liked it. It is my uncles first time on a cruise so I do not want to disappoint and this is only my second time on a cruise. Besides that what I really need help with is picking out cabins, I am looking to get balcony cabins but I have no idea what the differences between the categories are, so any help with that would also be appreciated. Any help would be appreciated thank you.
firefly333 Posted June 7, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 7, 2009 Most balconies are the same. Look on the deck plan if you want a extended balcony, they will be twice as deep if you want to pay a little extra. Aft balconies have more motion but folks love watching the wake, they are in high demand. Try not to get right below a club, sandwich between two passenger decks, look at the deck plans when you are picking.
jenng1976 Posted June 7, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 7, 2009 I think you might be too late to get a balcony ... I just checked on Carnival's website, and it shows n/a in all the Balcony categories. Just Ocean-view and Insides available (that I could see) for July 18th. Maybe you should give Carnival a call and see what's available!! cougarcb16 Posted June 8, 2009 Author #4 Share Posted June 8, 2009 Hey thanks for the replies. I made a mistake actually we are going on the July 13th departure and I booked room 6243 which is your standard balcony room on the upper deck, this is my first balcony room so hopefully this will be a good time.
