alwayswantedtobekelli Posted June 24, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 24, 2009 I just saw an auction on ebay where people are selling their unused VIP debarkation luggage tags. Are these things legit? They were blue....is that the color they always are. I'd be very leery to buy those and use them and then find out they aren't even current LOL. caribbean dreams Posted June 24, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2009 As long as people will by them...they will be sold. I was given extra VIP tags, they are still in my suitcase, i'm saving them just incase i may need a few and can't find the Steward for more. big_duck Posted June 24, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Don't waste your money, if you need them (early flight for instance) you can get them onboard for free.
Kudos2Fly Posted June 24, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Not to mention if you did use them to try to get on the ship.. It would hold things up anyways, because if you didn't Pay for VIP being a suite or have done 10 or more cruise. Your cards will not be in the VIP lounge anyways and you have made more work for the people trying to check you in.. We haven't done VIP yet, we just show up right before we have to get on the ship. We have never waiter a long to get on board, normally about 15-20 minutes with out VIP service..
Uncle Doug Posted June 24, 2009 #6 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Unless they are also telling them which lounge and time to meet at then the VIP (Zone 1) tags will not do them much good. Their luggage will be setting in the Zone 1 baggage area and they are on board waiting for Zone 1 to be called. Every cruise we have been on since reaching Platinum has been a little different. Different lounges (even on the same ship) different meeting times, different times where the host actually shows up to escort you to the gangway. We always get there early because most of the time they will come and get the VIP's about 30 minutes earlier than posted in the VIP letter. Thypically about 3/4 the way through the self assist. The one thing about ebay is if there is a demand for an item then it will sell.
micro yaya Posted June 24, 2009 #7 Share Posted June 24, 2009 Also keep in mind that vip unually get off so early that if you don't want to be guided off at 7 or earlier forget about it
