vivavegas Posted March 23, 2012 #52 Share Posted March 23, 2012 HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO cruzin w chris: Actually, anyone that uses an ATM on the cruise ship, or any other casino for that matter, is a big loser. I don't even bring my ATM card on the cruise. I have so much money set aside for the casino, and when it's gone, it's gone! Time to quit playing:)

Bassoon1 Posted April 11, 2012 #55 Share Posted April 11, 2012 I like to watch the slots for a bit, then jump in. Advice always bet the max lines. So if it has 40 lines play them all even if you play 1 cent per line!
Mocha'shuman Posted April 18, 2012 #56 Share Posted April 18, 2012 Hi all, I'm sailing on my first cruise in May to Alaska on the Island Princess [28 sleeps]. A friend of mine had sailed the Panama transit 3 years ago and forgot to cash in some tokens from the casino. She gave me the tokens for some "good luck playing" on my cruise. Would they be useable? Thanks Fern:o
VideoTech Posted April 19, 2012 #57 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Hi all' date=' I'm sailing on my first cruise in May to Alaska on the Island Princess [28 sleeps']. Thanks Fern:o If by "token" you mean casino chip, and IF the ship has not changed the design of their chip, you may be able to use them. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to check at the casino services desk before betting them at the tables. I'd hate to have them give you trouble at the table. Mocha'shuman Posted April 19, 2012 #58 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks - good idea. There aren't that many of them but she thought that it would be "lucky" for me - wouldn't want to be taken to task for trying to use them - that would be most unlucky and:o Fern
VideoTech Posted April 19, 2012 #59 Share Posted April 19, 2012 I like to watch the slots for a bit, then jump in. Advice always bet the max lines. So if it has 40 lines play them all even if you play 1 cent per line! Max lines gives you more opportunities to win, but you will not win big unless you also play max coin - i.e. bet the maximum on every line. It's amazing to me how many people do not read the fine print on the machine, and don't know that you have no chance at the big jackpots on most machines unless you are playing max lines & max coin. Of course, I understand that the max line/max coin bet on even a penny machine can add up fast. It can easily be a $5 bet, which is why you see so many people playing lower credits and lower line bets. But if you want a shot at the big jackpots, you have to find a machine where you can afford the max bet.
Bassoon1 Posted April 19, 2012 #60 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Yeah....max coin, but I like the max line and if it starts looking like it is a looser machine I will up the number of coins....
VideoTech Posted April 19, 2012 #61 Share Posted April 19, 2012 Yeah....max coin, but I like the max line and if it starts looking like it is a looser machine I will up the number of coins.... Ahh, but the drawback to that is that the machine will often have a higher rate of return for a higher bet & line level. So it won't seem "looser" until you are playing at the max coin/max line level.

activeac Posted April 29, 2012 #63 Share Posted April 29, 2012 Love Quick Hits myself! Also love Monopoly - but it is truly for entertainment value because I never get lucky on those... but very entertaining! And after all - it is my entertainment dollar I am spending! sept10dsm Posted May 24, 2012 #68 Share Posted May 24, 2012 Just wondering what the penny machines are like on the Explorer of the Seas? Can you bet the 1 cent or are they like many of the newer machines in Atlantic City having to bet minimums of 30 to 50 cents. Thanks!
Chmie Posted May 30, 2012 #69 Share Posted May 30, 2012 I play mainly keno slots in both land and ship casinos and have hit several $800 and numerous $400 pots. Tip $20 to attendant each time. I did hit a Vegas casino for $6,250 once and tipped $100. Actually left ahead that time. :D

I have good luck on them when I overlap numbers. I play 2-6s, 1-7 and 1-9 overlapping some of the numbers. Very few ships offer 4 card keno. Wifie found 4 card keno and just loves it. Although you can lose a lot more a lot quicker she has hit 6/6 a few times. I just hope that the Magic has video keno and not that annoying Caveman game. :D
carlosv Posted June 1, 2012 #72 Share Posted June 1, 2012 I had to laugh when you mentioned caveman keno. I too find it annoying. Yet, one time when I was down on my luck, I tried it and won. Who knew! You're exactly right, carlosv.I mainly play 5 numbers with 2 coins bet ($0.50). Wifie found 4 card keno and just loves it.
