otcsteve Posted July 8, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 8, 2009 We are sailing on QM2 out of Brooklyn in November. Currently have a reservation near the airport in Newark. I am not certain if we can leave the car there or not but how much would it cost to get a cab essentially the airport and the cruise terminal? 138east Posted July 8, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 8, 2009 Please give us more details. Disposing of your car while you are cruising out of NY should be a priority for you.
smeyer418 Posted July 8, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 8, 2009 a cab from EWR to Red hook cruise terminal is about $90-$100. a new york based car service will be slightly less(about $65). The inexpensive(sort of) way is to take the Airport bus(about $12 per person) and then a cab from Port Authority Bus terminal to the cruise terminal about $30-5 for the cab. You can also take the train into penn station(NY- there is a Penn Station in Newark NJ too so be careful to go to the right one) and then a cab for the same amount. You'd be better off staying in New York. Look at hotels in Brooklyn and parking your car at the pier. You'll pay $200 for round trip transportation to Brooklyn from New Jersey.
