Free drinks on ship casinos

Norwegian Jewel Experience

I was on the Jewel in June of this year. Both my wife and myself are regulars in the casino but my wife bets more and stays at the tables a lot more than I do. By the 3rd day after being friendly with the dealers, pit bosses and toking, she was getting free drinks whenever she wanted one without any card at all. In fact her first drink that she ordered was a Margherita and they brought her 5, all different styles. These free drinks also carried over to me although I don't drink heavily when playing in the casino. This continued for the rest of the cruise.

ZIGYRM - You can't book through Harrah's for a Carnival Cruise.

HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLLLLLOOOOO CRUISE4JANE: The Company that owns much of Harrah's Hotel/Casino also is a significant owner of NCL. Now why should you be able to book a cruise through Harrah's, for Carnival Cruise Line, who does not own Carnival?

Why don't the ships give free drinks to players on ship casinos? I believe if they do that, they will see more players make bad moves and the casinos will earn more money. Anybody else think so?

Answere:The casions are run by a contractor and the bars are run by the ship

There are restaurants in land based casinos that are not run by the casino and the casino still gives comps to them (the casino pays a discounted rate) they could do the same on a ship IF they wanted to. Apparently, they coose not to, as you're a captive audience for them.

After we booked our Princess cruise we called the players club and they noticed that we played on HAL also and comped us $50 credit just for asking. Using your key in the slots makes keeping track of you easy. We also got a few drinks last cruise from a wandering slot host.

I spent a lot of time in the Casino on the Epic and had most of my drinks covered. I do tip and "bribe" a lot and like to chat, so I think that did help. By the 5th night, I got my drink card, which I really didn't need, but I was proud to finally be a big girl, with my own card :)

Came home, called CAS and was comped a balcony on a 3 night cruise. They combined my points with those of my cabin mates, so we're off on another adventure.

Love, love love Casinos at Sea :)
