newcruiser551951 Posted July 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Sorry, I've tried searching, but I'm really running out of time if I have to head to the Mall to purchase additional clothes. For the non-formal nights on the Oosterdam, would a pair of khakis (long) and a nice Polo type shirt be OK? Or, would I have to wear a pair of dress pants with a shirt & tie? kakalina Posted July 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2009 Casual nights are just that casual. Dockers and Polo are fine. Enjoy your cruise.
newcruiser551951 Posted July 25, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted July 25, 2009 So dockers & polo shirts are good in the main dining room on all nights except the formal nights? If so, you saved me a last minute trip to the mall!!!!
catl331 Posted July 26, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2009 Here is the official policy statement: Evening dress falls into two distinct categories: Formal or Smart Casual. Smart Casual can be defined as slacks and collared shirts for men and casual dresses, slacks and informal evening wear for women. T-shirts, swimsuits, tank tops and shorts are not allowed in the restaurants or public areas during the evening hours. On festive Formal evenings, ladies usually wear a suit, cocktail dress or gown and gentlemen wear a jacket and tie, dark suit or tuxedo. There are approximately two formal nights per week.
