New Orleans Embarkation?

I am sure this has been asked hundreds of times but I couldn't find it in my very quick search. What time can you actually start check-in in New Orleans? I believe the "official" start is 12:30 but have heard that sometimes they actually start earlier. We will be parking at the port.

We got to the port 10-10:30 ish and we were on board by 11:30 eating lunch....but, I am the kind that would rather wait at a terminal than wait at the hotel, lol.

Same here.....we got there around 10:30 and were on the ship by 11:30 - 11:45 a.m.

Yep us too. Got there around 10:30, we got boarding #2 (first group to board after VIPs etc). On board having lunch by 11:30 or so and wouldn't do it any other way.

Sounds perfect! We are driving in that morning so after a quick stop at Cafe du Monde I think we'll head straight there!

We are usually parked in the gargage abt 10 and Once checked in inside seated pretty quickly. (no long lines) and then we sit for a little while ..enjoying the sites and board abt 12 ish! No hassles
