ILoveScotland Posted July 31, 2009 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2009 I usually do a search for "British Rail" and find train schedules that way.
skisteamboat Posted July 31, 2009 #4 Share Posted July 31, 2009 You might consider a boat trip up or down the Thames combined with a rail trip. Boats leave from Kew Garden or Westminster Pier. The Schedule is at http://www.wpsa.co.uk/latest_new.html. Last boat from Hampton Court is at 1500 and arrives at 1800. Cheers
taffNo1 Posted August 4, 2009 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2009 anyone have the train times for these two destinations and back again to London? How late do the trains leave from Hampton Court and also Windsor back into London..... Hi, we did the journey last weekend, the trains from Waterloo/Hampton Court are every 1/2 hour 7 days a week, check times on Thetrainline.com You will LOVE Hampton Court, especially now with the Henry V111 celebrations. "He" was walking around the palace and there was dancing in the grounds and all kinds of other things going on. Try typing 2 for 1 Hampton Court Palace into a search engine and see what offers you can get.Enjoy it and allow lots of time, we were there for 5 hours and hardly went outside. Your entry includes an audio guide. :p
rsquare Posted August 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted August 5, 2009 Be aware that trackwork is typically done on the weekend in Britain, so if you go on a Sunday or Saturday, don't be surprised if the schedule shows a connection or two in what should be straight route. Also, Hampton Court station is across the Thames from the palace; just turn right when you get out of the station. And don't miss the royal kitchens; you'll hug your appliances when you get home.
