Hi a little off the subject, but I see yous are talking about Skagway, we like to take the cart ride, were the dogs pull the cart, I no I can book this thru Princess but there is 9 of us and it would be around $900.00, does anyone know of a less expensive place to book this kind of tour. I really appreciate any information I can get. Thank you Teresa

If you go to the Iditarod Center at Wasilla (north of Anchorage), the cart rides are $5 each (shorter, but still fun). At Caribou Crossing, 70 miles north of Skagway, they're apparently about $20 each.

The Yukon Horseback Adventure can be booked through southeasttours.com. It's approximately 6 hours including 2 with the horses. They leave at 10:30 a.m. from their office located between 2nd and 3rd streets in downtown skagway near the docks. The cost is $149 per person.

10:30 is not the only departure time, they leave at 12:30, too.
