Alaska - 1st cruise ? on AFT staterooms?

Recommended Posts

Will be taking our first cruise to Alaska on the Rhapsody out of Seattle in late August 2010. We are able to reserve corner AFT 8088 or 8094 center AFT...........Which is the best????? We always cruise AFT, but just wanted some of your opinions that have been there and done it!

Thanks

8088!!!!! No question. Had it last year in September and the wraparound balcony is amazing. The views are even awesome from the coach inside the cabin.

By the way, our nextdoor neighbors in 8090 were like "how did you know about that balcony? We are going to have to get it next time."

Just confirmed our trip to Alaska in August 2010 with Stateroom 8088. Have a long time to wait, but will enjoy it thanks to your response....

We are doing New England/Canada in Oct'09, on EOS. Never been up there in Oct....

Being a born and raised Florida girl, it'll be nice seeing 'seasons'.....

Have a great day ALL! :>)

I agree that the corner AFT was the right decision. We are off Serenade in June and had the most amazing views with little wind from the AFT balcony. The corner room has a bigger balcony and we never felt crowded.

Enjoy your cruise - Alaska was one of our favorite trips and we are planning on going again eventually:)

Rhapsody 8088 balcony/cabin photos (before new bedding)

No comparison between Radiance-class corner afts and Rhapsody/Vision corner afts (have done both). Rhapsody/Vision corner afts are HANDS-DOWN the best balconies in the RCCL fleet! They have a true wraparound balcony where 2 chairs and a small table can fit.

You're gonna love it! :)

Absolutley!!!! They are the best in the fleet. Last time we sailed we went with friends and we had 3 out of the 4 corner afts :D. The balcony on the Deck 7 corners are actually a little larger, but Deck 8 corners are Junior Suites. Its all good!!!
